| | When You Travel, What Is Your Favourite Souvenier To Bring Home? | | When I travel to a new country, the first things I want to find are a flag of that country, and some recordings of that country's folk music. If I travel to a different part of a country from which I already have a flag, I like to try and find something else that is culturally important to that part of the country, and if there is different music of that area, I look for that too. | | Do you get excited when you check the Mail? | | I love going to check my mail! You never know what you may find in the mailbox. I order free samples and I am always excited to see what has came in the mail for me to try. I also love getting letters from my friends and family since they live 800 miles away, it is nice to know that they are thinking of me. The best thing I have ever gotten in the mail would have to be my digital camera it came today! I think the other best thing I have gotten in the last month would be a check for my income tax refund, I wasn't expecting it to come so soon!

| | what memento do you often get when you travel? | | traveling is something that my hubby & i enjoy. If i could just put all the joys of traveling experience/memories in a box then maybe I would've. BUt the least we can do is to take pictures,and get some souvenirs that will remind us of that precious moment. The least expensive memento i could think of is either a keychain or a fridge magnet and oh, also post cards. I usually collect fridge magnets. I also make a scrapbook out of all the pictures i took. How about you, what memento do you often get when you travel? | |
| | Our cat Max | | This is one for all the cat lovers. Max is about 5-7 years old in human terms and he is a complete idiot but a loveable one at that. He came to us as a baby and he used to love sleeping on my right shoulder, he would spend hours there and his favourite past-time was tipping a bucket over, getting inside it and racing around like a mouse on an exercise wheel. Our other cat Boltz is a female tabby and the two of the are both mad, they will be scrapping one moment and then they will be washing each other or curled up together asleep. Max has taken a liking to sitting in high places; first it was a windowsill so he could get the sun, then he found the bench that the toaster is on but he gets sent down from there, follow that with the windowsill above the kitchen bench which is taboo too. Last week he found a posy in the hallway beside my porcelain doll and puppets and tonight we found him on the wicker basket in the hallway; it was too cute to miss so we got a photo of him. Max looks like he is part of our Scottish collection that we have recently started.
