myLot Discussions| Is your refrigerator magnet free? | | I don't know how that started--putting magnets on your refrigerator, guess because you can but me I'm a magnet person. I always go for the free magnets you get at local functions which just advertise comcast or some other business but lately Im rethinking this.Some people gave us some real pretty magnets from Turkey so now Im moving onto PRETTY magnets for my refrigerator. I have lots of art coming from my daughters and now that my daughter is proving to be a real artist (it runs in the family;) I do have need for them. So I wondered if there was people who cannot stand magnets on the fridge and Prefer the clean fridge look. I have seen fridges absolutely filled to the T with decorative magnets and I like that look--its like having your own locker or something (didn't you decorate it in school?). Hmm, guess you could always do magnets one month and magnet free the next, now theres an idea. | |
| | Souvenirs | | When you travel to places, what do you buy to serve as your souvenirs? Some people buy shirts, something unique from the place or even bells. For me, a simple refrigerator magnet would do. I choose a unique magnet if I see one, if not, then I just get the cheapest one. I think this is the cheapest way to go. I mean souvenirs from tourist places or even non-tourist ones could really be expensive. So when I was able to decide on what to buy for souvenirs, I've decided that refrigerator magnets are the easiest and cheapest way to go. Now, you'll see that our refrigerator is full of magnets from the places that I've visited. I plan to visit a lot more places, so I bet, there would be more refrigerator magnets to come.ow theres an idea. | |
| | My first work from home!!!! | | Do you want to know my first work from home? I was about 18-19years and was mainly busy in studying but that was the time you need money most and in anyway to fulfil your dreams. Then I saw some ad they need WFH person can make refrigerator magnet in home for the company and get commission for it. I have wrote a letter to them then they asked me 35$. I sent them that money then they sent me two samll thin magnetic plate and a ribbon and some small net and button and asked me to make a sample and send them for testing. If they think it is good and properly made they will give me tons of order to do it, they also sent a sketch for doing the work. I thought it is so simple so i can make it easily and anytime I like and then can earn big commission as their commission rate was very high. But there was a trick-they told if I dont use the sample and return to them as it is they will refund my $35 but if I use the sample to make two magnet and send them for their approval and if it fail then they cant refund anything. That was the catch and I was in between the huge commission and my $35..... finally I returned the sample as it was and got my 35$ back. By that time I was littlebit grown... | |
| | What is your favourite collectables to buy when you travel somehere? | | We have seen all the special places has some special items signifying the place and special features of that place. I generally must buy one of such thing where ever I go and I have seen so many different thins for that-like keyring, refrigerater magnet, cup, picture postcard, glass or some garments. Which one U prefer? I prefer the refrigerator magnet and so far I have collected 59 that kind of magnet. I have almost all over the world and now there almost no place to add anymore. Still i am mad to buy this and when I see tem I remember the fun I had in that place and many stories related to it...this is a nice ting specially when I am in my kitchen I see them .. always start some story about any one of them with somebody present at home at that moment.... looks like I am addict to these magnets... | |
| | Joke for Today about a young woman | | A young wife, who was becoming frustrated with her young husband constant demands for sex, decides to make a schedule for him, to cut down on the amount of times that they will have to make love for the rest of their marriage.
While getting ready for work, she writes on a piece of paper, "Honey,you know I love you, but your never ending requests for sex are leaving me drained and really tired. So I propose that we only have sex on days that start with the letter 'T', to minimise the frequency of our lovemaking sessions.
