| | Just Another Memory...... | | do you own one of those instant cameras??? the kind that spits out the picture after you take it???well if you do, you might want to think about stocking up on film.
i just saw on the news that Polaroid will no longer manufacture the instant film.
they say that digital cameras have become so popular that their instant cameras have become obsolete.
they're claiming you might be able to find film until about the middle of next year and then the supply will start to dry up.so what do you think???
is this just another relic to leave in the the past with rabbit ear TV antennas, and VCRs???or could this actually be a lucrative money making opportunity for someone???

| | the unexplained | | ok have you ever had something happen to you you just could not explain i think many people do and just try to sweep it under the rug but i bet if we all came together and shared some of our stories we would not feel so alone heres one that i would like to share my daughter who is now 6 always talked about a friend she called cindy we could not see cindy but we just thought that alot of kids make up friends so we just left it alone well one day my daughter had our polaroid camera and snaped a picture in the corner i took the camera from her and just threw the picture in a drawer before it was done developing about a week later my boyfriend(my daughters father) was looking for something in the same drawer and came across the picture he called out to me what the f_ _ k is this he came in the room with the picture in his hand and asked me if i had seen this i took the picture from him and looked at it it was a picture of a women you could kinda see through her but what got me was how real the eyes looked you could actually see the pupils i called my daughter(who at the time was three) over to me and showed her the picture she said mom thats just cindy she watches over me my daughter... | |
| | It came! | | What came? The ring of course. I wrote a discussion a while back, and my fiance did as well, about the ring that we ordered as a second engagement ring. The first one broke a few weeks ago, so luckily this one was already being made. I do miss the other ring, as it was beautiful and something special to me. However, this ring is just as beautiful, with a ruby and an amethyst as that is our birthstones. It has our names inscribed on it, and I think it's just beautiful. We may get it engraved, we haven't really talked about it too much, I wonder if the ring would be too small for an inscription, though I doubt it as our names are on it, and clear. Although you have to get close to see the names, it's still clear as it's finely written. We don't have any film in our polaroid or we would take a picture to show everyone, when we do get film we'll take a picture. It's a great and special ring. Anyone else have an engagement ring with their birthstones in it? What about a wedding ring with their birthstones on it? | |
| | whats your camera's brand? | | I now own a Polaroid t30. Until now i still dont know how to manipulate it to have the best shot. Its not good for night shots, idk, maybe because i am not using the best settings for it.What camera are you using right now? Is it good? | |
| | | She is scared of Santa | | My daughter met Santa tonight at the Supper with Santa at my son's school. She freaked out. Poor thing started screaming as soon as I let go of her. I of course snapped a picture, but it did not turn out too good. The Polaroid they gave me turned out a little bit better, but I have not gotten it scanned yet.
Was your little one afraid of Santa the first time he or she met him?

| | Top multinationals’ carbon pledge | | Top multinationals’ carbon pledgeSome of the very corporations once vilified by environmentalists promised on Thursday to reduce by 10 million tonnes annually their collective output of carbon dioxide, the main cause of global warming, the World Wildlife Fund announced.
Sony, Nike, IBM, Polaroid, building –materials gains Lafarge and seven other top multinationals said they would fulfill their carbon pledge by no later than 2010.
“If 1,300 more large companies join into this effort, the Kyoto targets for the industrials world would be researched,” the firms - dubbed “Climate Savers” by the WWF – said in a joint statement.
The Kyoto Protocol, due to expire in 2012, is the only international treaty that sets targets for limiting the fossil fuel pollution that causes the greenhouse effect.
The treaty has been crippled since it was abandoned in2001 by US, which accounts for nearly a quarter of the world’s carbon emissions.
The corporate commitment to help save the planet comes amid a flurry of business and government initiatives to slow global warming, and was timed to coincide with the release of a major report by the UN Inter government Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) on...
